ten things on a sunday

second. my ipod is no longer lost. yes, it was reported missing.. i've no idea how long ago. today, about five minutes ago, it was found. where was it? in a bag.. a book-type bag i have. i found it getting stuff ready for work tomorrow.

third. yesterday.. was it yesterday? well, let's start with thursday. a random chat with a friend of mine in virgina ends with her deciding to take a train from va to ct.. to get here at 5am saturday and leave at 11am sunday.

no, not that kind of meeting/hookup. she's a lesbian.

why did she come up? i'm still.. sort of fuzzy on that. mostly i think it was her have troubles in her relationship and an itch to "go somewhere". for whatever reason.. she seems to highly value my advice. if she only knew....

nothing much of note happened on the trip.. though we were to go to a lesbian bar in hartford last night.. only we were both too tired. the whole 5am thing just fucked me all day. oh, we also donated about 35 or 40 dollars to the indians.

forth. the ac in my car does not work. i now recall my brohter saying there was some sort of leak and i'd have to get it filled. tomorrow, hopefully, i'll find out how much that costs.

fifth. my last paycheck wasn't direct deposited on friday.. nor did i get it in the mail friday or saturday. this pisses me off. if i don't get it tomorrow when i get home from work.. i'm going to be on the phone demanding they overnight me the check for tuesday or direct deposit it monday night. i will raise hell. hrm. it just occured to me.. that i'm not sure what time i'll be home tomorrow. i might not be home in time to reach someone... might have to wage this battle over tuesday's lunch.

sixth. i need to go buy razors. why hasn't some really smart person developed a way to get rid of facial hair that doesn't involve shaving every damn day? women have nair.. and sure, i get that the types of hair are different.. but isn't hair really hair?

perhaps nair works on facial hair. i'll google that in a bit.

seventh. i need to read a book tonight. at the very least skim two books.

eighth. i should also research "cures" to biting nails. perhaps i'll just quit cold turkey.. though, i've had this nasty habit for.. nearly 20 years.

i'm old.

ninth. i wonder how many americans will take thursday off to see the game. i care.. but not that much.

tenth. soon.. very soon.. i'll start to fret about clothing choices.. will probably iron something.. will fret about what time to get up.. and all the sorts of things people worry about the night before starting a new job.

i'm still stocked i found the ipod. aren't you?
