little rays of sunshine from fark..

the fcc is considering switching to pick the channels you want format..

i like this. i have like 100 channels and and dispite my best efforts to be a total couch potato, i probably less than 15. i understand that currently, it may cost $8 for a channel i like.. and in the new format it may cost $10. i'm fine with that.. because i'll be cutting out so much stuff i don't want.

heck, why not let people pick and choose the channels they want from an online account? well, other than make for totally unpredictable revenue streams..

in other news, there's this tidbit:
http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/02/09/killer.shrimp.ap/index.html

a guy goes to one of those places where the flip shrimp at you... it seems he didn't that too much.. and in jerking his head out of the way, he hurt something (or so it's alledged) and eventually died. the family sued for $10 million. yeah, $10,000,000.

jury threw out the case.

with the little i know, never should have been a case. i'm happy to see a jury toss something like this. well not toss or threw out, but reject.
