new years
January 01, 2004 - 3:16 pm

so, how was your new years?

mine was.. watching some stupid cartoon/adam sandler movie.. drinking far too much with jon and chris came up.

i don't much care for chris and tend to ignore him. he's said and done a few things here that i just don't like - stupid things.

so at like 3am jon goes to be and it's just me and chris. somehow, i dunno how, we got into this long as converstation where i basically call him all sorts of dumb stuff he's done. sort of busting his balls about things.

jon and i have talked about having this converstation with him, but never got around to it.

anyway, i think it was a good thing. not yelling or agruing - just talking.

no doubt my bringing it up was caused by the alcohol - i'm not usually the kind of person to do that.

i feel good about it though.

today.. woke up at like noon. showered. power went out.. so i went back to bed. power came back on, so i got up.. power went out.. so i went back to bed.

power's been back on now for like 2 hours, so i guess it's all good now.

not really hungover.. just tired. perhaps i'm just getting too old to drink that much.

you know, i never got what the big deal was about new years - afterall, when a year starts and stops.. is something we, a long long time ago, arbitraily set. it's really just another day in the middle of winter.

perhaps that's why it's a big deal - a reason to party in the middle of bleak winter.
