where did the strangers go?

i just looked through the folks who read here often.. and damn if most of them are either gone from dland - as in page no longer exists (why are they still showing up on my list of who likes my diary?) or stopped updating.

that was depressing.

so i went to the stat page thing i have to see how many folks stop by here... and it was 2 per day. i used to be quite a bit higher.

i find this depressing. i know it shouldn't matter who reads here.. but oddly it does.

it also appears my rings don't work. i wonder if the code i have there was always wrong or what the deal is.

if complete strangers don't want to read these words.. why am i even writing them?
