civilized?

i'm not sure why i want to be aware. i'm not talking about major issues - possible wars and such.

i'd like to think that there's a place where people think like i do.

i find the world staggering and demoralizing - in a generalized way. for sure there are people and an odd story here and there that i agree with or makes me feel good.

that's the rare exception. what others seem to think is acceptable or not worth bothering about...strikes me as insulting and unacceptable.

i suppse it's true that in the end the lowest common denominator wins.

if that's true, it's a sad, sad commentary about our so called civilized selves.
