Another day, like the rest

Would a person who's never seen the internet or a TV really 'get' what it is? No, no way.. not until they actually had one, actually used it.

They could pretend they knew... they could learn the words to use to talk about it... and fake it.

I was sitting on a bench today and some high schoolers went by. The goth sort -- though they may cringe at the label. I, as I have many times before, mused at the notion of showing you're an individual by conforming to what other 'nonconformists' do.

I wish I'd taken to writing this sooner. I overhead a snippet of a conversation that was.. kind mind boggling. I forget it now. Sort of like Lewis Black and then "if it hadn't been for the horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college" quote.

I'm also left to wonder.. why when I ask myself "if you could do anything, what would you do?" when I say the answer.. why I don't do it?
