"Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny." -- unknown

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results - Albert Einstein

A thursday..
December 10, 2009 - 9:23 am

I find it odd that there are people utterly obsessed with who Tiger Woods has slept with.. and there are people who won't want to watch him play golf anymore.

One had nothing to do with the other.

I find it interesting how we (as in humans) let one facet of a person's life have so much influence over how we feel about someone. Of course, being the reverent and faithful Christian nation that we are... we don't judge others... lest someone throw a stone at us. Or something like that. Just one more example of the hypocritical nature of people.

If he were to get caught cheating (in golf, not an affair) during a tournament, then I can see people deciding not to watch him anymore.. that directly impacts why you're watching in the first place.

Did I mention I have my test date? It's 12/17.. so another week and then I know if I'm hired or not.

It's been about 2.5 months with no work and... I feel oddly like a piece of lazy shit, which is true enough. I've done very little that I said I would, which I knew when I said it.

In other news, I posted an add for hahas on okcupid. A odd dating/match sort of site. It rates people as a % friend, % match, and % enemy. I've had the most 'luck' chatting with a girl who was pretty much my highest % enemy and lowest % friend/match. The simple fact that she replied to an email titled "Dear Nemesis..." shows how off OKC is.

Back to work, I am all the more sure that this won't pan out (at least today). I simply don't know enough people... not enough of a natural market. Which means I'll likely be reduced to cold calling.. which is just a terrible situation. Who the fuck wants to get a call from a random person (me)? I sure as hell don't. I'm at a loss as to how to solve this puzzle.

I need to go back through monster & careerbuilder and fire off more resumes today.
