Cars... cars cars.
June 14, 2009 - 2:27 pm

Cars... nothing brings out my annoying dual nature like shopping for a big ticket item like a car.

The basic facts are... I'm still guessing it's the compressor. But... I am researching cars anyway. After all, what makes more sense? Fixing a $500 item or dropping several $1,000's on a different car?

Yeah, I know.. it's all about what might go next on my current car. Still, this is just the AC system, not the actual engine. I think I will ask the mechanicman to give me his thoughts on the car overall. If there's no other glaring problems, it makes sense to run it another year or two if I can.

But.. today I went to look at cars. I do like the Subaru Impreza Outback Sport -- wholey fuck is a long/dumb name though.. made worse that there's just a Impreza hatchback -- which is really all the Sport it. The Sport just sits a bit higher and different trim... but, I'm told, it's really the same car.

How confusing can they make it? Why toss in Outback since Outback is it's own line of car!?

I looked at few others today too... and no doubt I'll continue to do research on and off for a while. Of course, most of the things I'm looking at are new cars... and I'll get something used, so I'm really wasting my time.
