no one
April 07, 2009 - 7:27 pm

Days like today make me think I should still be on the brain candy.

I was sitting at work.. about 4pm. I surfed over to CNN to see what's what. I forget what the title was, but there was some article that caught my eye, so I clicked and started to read the link.

Even though it was a few short hours ago, I don't really recall the point of the article. It was talking about how sick people... really sick people... die how they live. An example was this guy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and instead of starting treatment right away... took his wife to see the redwoods.

I wanted to cry.

Not so much at the touching nature of the story. More... at one of the points of the article.

When someone is in that position.. when someone is really sick and there's no cure... no hope... it really is more about the people who aren't dying than the person who is.

Does that make sense? You might need to see inside my head to get what I mean.

I wanted to cry because.. if I were that sick... there's no one. no one.

I suppose that's the ultimate statement on who and what I am.
