Story, water and fireworks

So.. while perhaps not exactly in the right vein, I came up with this story. (new window)

Yesterday, I learned that... my brain candy and booze seem not to mix well at all. Granted, you're not supposed to get drunk drunk... but well, a drink or two should be fine. I've got some bottles and thought I'd 'celebrate' not going to see fireworks with a drink.

About... oh... an hour later I was completely exhausted. I mean drained. I mean... time to go sleepy sleepy.

I did get to hear some distant pops, but no fireworks for me. I can't recall the last time I went to see some. To me, fireworks are an event to go see with someone else... not a solo trip.

Today... I bought Loca a present. Why? I don't know. No, that's not true. I bought it because I misread the price tag. More accurately, the price on the shelf didn't relate to the box I bought. Anyway, it's a plugged in water fountain thing. The one thing I'm worst at when it comes to Loca is making sure the water in her dish is clean... so this fixes that. I can do charcoal filters every 60 days. I'm also thinking... should I get a second cat, this will be better all around.

What I want to do know is cut a little 'hole' in the molding on the kitchen counter top so I can run the power cord down to the food liar.

I'm not sure if Loca likes the water fountain... hard to tell. She's gone near it enough and sniffed it enough. I can't recall ever seeing her drink from the bowl... so I doubt I'll ever see her drink from this.
