Change is complex

I'm in line.. and these two ladies are in front of me and I thought to myself, "This is going to be more hassle than it's worth..."

Sure enough.. the one lady took a long ass time to decide which of the whopping five flavors she wanted.. and the other stood in front of the register with a $10 in her hand.

Now, most folks just toss the money on the counter.. make change if they need it and move. As such, the counter was littered with $1's and change. The lady started to make herself change.. but stopped and looked flustered.

I guess making change for a $1.05 cup of coffee can be trying.

Finally the coffee-lady came over and asked if she could help.. so the lady handed over the $10 and the coffee-lady started to pick up ones to give back in change and the lady said, "Oh, I didn't think I could do that..."

I know I'm not all that smart, but wtf?
