the way in our our governments (local, state and federal) operate budget-wise has always irked me. perhaps a whole f'ing state being shut down will jumpstart some sort of serious effort to address this situation. i'm also not a fan of continual defict spending -- but do think it should be an option in extreme situations.

btw, this article mostly focuses on the casino's.. which will cost a TON of money in terms of lost revenues.. not to much a massive amount of ill will amoung folks.. but, according to headline news, things like the dmv are closed. they had a guy on whose car was impounded.. and he can't get it back until this gets "fixed". another was trying to get his drivers license.. but can't.

folks won't be being paid.. it's a whole clusterfuck and all the more bizarre since the governor and senate/house are all lead by the same party.. i think. further proof i guess that part names are just label these days.. and not meant to be use for anything meaningful.
