what not to wear
April 23, 2006 - 10:23 am

wow.. just wow.

from time to time i've watched the show "what not to wear". initially i thought they might do a guy from time to time.. and i'm fashion illiterate, but it seems they only do gals. still, i'll watch from time to time just to try and "learn" something.

the bbc version is on.. and wholey fuck is it different. they ask "real" questions, like "why don't you like your body" and then get into the detail of things. they also have that "victim" stand in the 360 degree mirror in their undies. hell, the one female host even took off her pants to show the victim that her ass wasn't bad at all -- even though the host "looked" better.. because the host wore better cloths.

the bbc version is much better -- it's a hell of a lot more "real" and "honest". the american one.. is just like a half hour of fluff compared to this.

there's no way i'd ever expect "what not to wear" to do this in the states.. and that's just another example how ironically prudish america can be.
