weekend update
February 11, 2006 - 8:46 am

i tried really hard to watch the opening olympic stuff. well, perhaps not really hard.. but i did try.

i don't quite get why they do the weird cirque du soleil type things. i really don't. yeah, i saw the beating heart part and that looked cool... but then the folks on skates with flames, "sparks of passion" , went zooming around and i lost interest.

i think part of my problem is that, in general, i don't care about the opening ceremony. i don't much care for pregame shows.. unless they are telling me information relevant to the game/contest that follows.

hearing that miller guy grew up in a really small town in vermont (new hampshire?) with out a lot of basic stuff.. doesn't matter. i get it means he's come a long, long way.. but what's that got to do with being a good skiing? he also has said he likes to ski drunk.

i get that the media needs _something_ to talk about.. it's their job.. and there's more and more coverage of events, so they are looking for something, anything to suck people in.

i also get that there's people, probably a lot of people, who like such stories. i'm just not one of them.

in.. oh, somewhere between 2 and 5 hours from now, i'll have new bed. the bedroom is mostly clean.. i need to vaccum. i'll need to go find sheets after they arrive.

i think i've come across a job i might actaully like. i'm gonna email the lady back this weekend and see if we can meet afterhours sometime. i'm not sure i want to take a day off, but i will if i need to.

in.. oh, about six days i'll be in los vegas for about 36 hours. i'm sort of excited to go, but the length of the trip is annoying.

i think i might join this cardio-type place near me. for $179 'enrollment' fee, it's only $10.00 a month. well, that's the curren deal. the fee is a way high, but for $10 a month after that.. it's not so bad.

what else? what else? eh, that's all for now.
