today.. i drove south to the supermarket, Big Y. a silly name, but the name nonetheless.

without a doubt it's the nicest market in the area -- save for one thing. people who shop there seem to like to stop, fully blocking all lanes of traffic, and conduct small talk. now, this happens to one degree or another in all stores.. and perhaps my timing was just "bad" - but this occured on a maddening regular basis.

yes, it's a pet peeve of mine.

mix in that with while it's nice, but it's rather expensive.. and i won't be going back.

i also took a "career" test of sorts. the results don't surprise me in the least.. my current "sales" job is woefully wrong for me.

i applied to various jobs..

i looked at various colleges in the area.. trying to sort out what sort of science-type career i'd like better. i loath to just dump all the schooling i've had.. and so i'm leaning towards something that might be a hybrid -- health managment. as in the people who run hospitals.

right now, a show is on about a mummy found in tibet. various oddities about this..

i think i'd rather like to have been a monk. without a doubt i'm fully immersed in this culture.. and only give passing lip service to the ideals of such monks.

still, these monks fascinate me. their exploration into mind over matter and what not seems alot more meaningful and worthwhile than the pursuit of money.

think about it.. using nothing but your mind to raise you body temp.. to make a wet sheet (in a 40 degree room) steam..

perhaps i should go off and find a monestary to join. i rather fancy leaving behind all my bills and what not.
