what i want to do today

today.. i want to call in sick. i want to stay home.. and trying to do some writing.

i think that'd be my dream life. not to have to work.. to write when the motivation strikes me.. to play poker (wouldn't it be grant to make enough money to live on playing a card game?)

well, the poker thing would be a lot of work. many, many, hours sitting on your ass looking at cards and making choices. mentally draining that would be. you don't really get to see that if you watch em play on tv. 'course by the time they get to the final table, they know they've won some nice coin.. so some heat is off. but like the guy who lost (as in took second) this years world series of poker said about the final hand -- i was just tired. i wanted it to be over.

that thing is a few days long.. i think they play ten hours a day or something like that.

that's a lot of choices to make.

anyway. i'm off on a tangent.

sadly, my so-called "dream" means i'd probably have no income... and in this reality, no income means no way to live.
