"Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny." -- unknown i'm not saying i can do it perfect or that i'm even the "best" in the office. i'm saying, i should be doing something different. arrogance doesn't fit. yesterday i was watching some show, perhaps it was the end of the tour. i was laying on the floor.. as i often do.. and i realized i was sleepy. thunder crashed. it was about 7:30. so the tour was over. i'm not sure what was on. nothing good. a sleepy debate erupted in my head. why not go to sleep to the rain? i awoke sometime later.. nearly 11pm and thought, wtf am i going to do now? i'm really not very tried anymore. regardless, i slept more. fitfully, but more. i like watching the tour. i see a guy almost wrecked.. went off the side of the road. could well have died if it had been a cliff. i'm not sure anyone likes working in my office. i don't mean anyone is lazy.. i mean, morale seems low. people are over-worked and perhaps, like me, are finding the job non-rewarding. oddly, most poeple have worked there for five or more years.. so you'd think they'd have moved on. a paycheck known beats the unknown i suppose. i need to find someone to read my resume.. so i can be sure it's ok so i can get around to actaully applying to other jobs. i'm happy ebers got 25 years. i'm confused why anyone cares a chinese company wants to buy unocal. why do we always love to preach how democratic and free market we are.. and then we always fuck things like this up. let the shareholders vote and so be it. it's a little company. we need less.. far far far far far less regulation in business. the governments sole concern should be that people arn't getting fucked by companies.
