to do, movie and thoughta
February 20, 2005 - 12:39 pm

things i need to do (as in things with a pressing need of one sort or another):

1) do my taxes
2) find an article and create a ten minute powerpoint
3) start my china paper
4) find jon to give him back his jacket
5) give a clean sweep to my little room

i saw the movie constantine yesterday. i was kinda surprised by it. i expected some more stereotyped charactors in it. i almost makes me want to start reading the comic book. i wonder if there are novels based on the same idea? i think it'd make a good tv show - a darker version of buffy/angel i suppose.

in other other news.. i'm still playing poker. i'm addicted to it. it's kinda funny. people bitch so much about losing on the river.. they rant and rave about it. if they actaully stopped to think about it, they'd realize that if it wasn't for the river, no one would play the game.

what else.. what else.. oh, i read a news story about a week ago that said paxil, the anit-depressant, is just as effective as st johns wort. i think that's kinda interesting. millions of dollars were spent on paxil and st johns wort has been around for ages..

i really do like the orlando vacation commercials with the guy from the "pharmacy industry" talking about how no one takes vacations and they provide happiness in a pill. so very, very true. religion isn't dead, it just got bought out.
