"Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny." -- unknown spring break is coming up and with the lovely site www.studentuniverse.com, i've found some alluring trip ideas. however, i'm limited on funds - if i keep my trip to china in mind. so today in my kickass overseas business development class (have i mentioned i wish this was a full 3 credit class, not just a few saturdays??) i was thinking about my trip to china and when i'm going to graduate. right now.. i'm thinking of taking one class in the second half of the summer - after i get back from china. doing that will enable me to graduate in june of next year with my last 'class' being a summer internship. in class i thought, what if i don't take a class in the summer, but instead.. do something fucked up like go to asia and teach english for a month or two. make some sweet cash, awsome exposure to the culture.. learn chinese and actaully live there. i'm thinking like hong kong or singapore. the downside is.. with my assistantship, i'm not supposed to work any other job or i can lose it. i need it for the financial benifits, so i don't want to jepordize it. i need to find out what i'm actually expected to do during the summer. i just looked at one site for teaching english in asia and it says you can earn up to $4,500 a month. i doubt i'd get that much, but even if i get half of that.... hrm.. choices choices. i need to do more research. OH! my pc is all better. this awsome program, bootvis, really really really really fixed my startup issues. it's free, google it!
