it happens all the time. it's a very natural thing for people to do. you hear someone say X and you infer that they also meant Y and you respond since you disagree with Y.

goddamn i said X, nothing more or less.

i don't care how intuitive the relationship is to you between X and Y. if i didn't say it, then i didn't say it. if you think there's a connection and that i would also say Y, then ask.

otherwise, i'll get grumpy.
