my parent leave home at 10am and get here at noon. we drive up to erie and eat lunch at red lobster.

mostly kinda stilted conversation. we talked some about my going back to school. mostly about the financial aspect of it. the hitch is my goddman car. i lease it. i have two years to go on the lease. i need not to have my car, but there's nothing i can do.

i'm sort of worried about it, but i need to see how the loans n stuff for school work out.

anyway.

we get home at about 2pm. we sit and talk for a half hour or so.. mostly about my brother, his family and his wife's family. normal chat type stuff.

then they decided it was time to go.

so they were here for 2.5 hours and drove a total of 4 hours. i've no idea why they didn't stay longer.

i offered to take them through a nice drive at the park on the lake, which they declined. i took them by my office on the way home from lunch, but they didn't want to go inside. they didn't want to stop at the buffalo farm or elpaca (spelling??) farm.

i dunno.

that's my family. we are strangers who share genes and nothing more.

usually i'm not so bothered by this. today i guess i am.
