"Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny." -- unknown damn my toes are cold. i've thought of a new direction for me to go. i'm thinking communcaitons masters degree. just thinking that is. more and more i'm getting wrapped up in this idea that reality doesn't matter. the truth as a factual concept is an abstract ideal. i bet everyone one of you would agree that a single man using a chains and pulleys (designed to life a 10 ton block) couldn't possibly list a 30 ton one. see the coral castle link last post. throughout human history there are odd, bizarre examples of things that can not be, but are. we are taught what is possible. we are taught what has happened. we are taught...taught taught... we don't learn things for ourselves. to a degree that's good. we don't have to reinvent the wheel, but since we don't...we don't quite value it. we take it for granted. people don't like to think. we like even less to take responsiblity. everything is someone or something else's fault. for sure enivronment affects people, but we choose how we respond to it's affects. sorry, my mind is scattered. i'm becoming more interested in the idea of communications...peoples ideas on a subject are totally influenced by how they learn of them, by how they are presented. it's easier than thinking for ourselves. you can say thing, if you say it right way. people will believe anything if spoon fed it. i've no idea what i'd do with the degree. i find the idea interesting.
