love is when something or someone becomes essential for your continued happiness.

see, use that definition and gauge how you use the word. people over use and misuse words all the time and then the words don't have any real meaning. if an abstract thing like words can have meaning. we get into degrees of things, that we 'love' pizza and we 'love' our spouse. no, you should like pizza and love your spouse.

were you horrified by 9-11? the same way you'd be horrified by finding a mouse in your house?

are you infuriated by telemarketing calls the same way you're infuriated by hearing about the current priest scandel?

words are all we have to express ourselves...and we constantly work to degrade the very words we use.
