lord of the rings
January 01, 2002 - 9:02 pm

i got two warm fuzzies. thanks!

i saw lord of the rings today. first let me say that movie seats are not made for three hour movies. other than that i enjoyed the film. the sets are amazing. i want to move to new zealand. i can't believe some of the views they had! the music is sweeping or tries to be. i'm not a big fan of grandiose music. to me it tried to add to the scene, but over did it. it's a hell of story and not to bad a movie. i hope it wins awards for sets/clothing and those sorts of things. i dunno if it's quite best movie or anything else. i am looking foward to the other two. it's really weird to see a book come to life like that. to see how the director sees the charactors and how they come to life. it was kinda funny, to me, when the fellwoship ended, someone said 'what kind of ending is that?' i guess they didn't know the story.

there's a twilight zone marathon on. this show actaully rocks. i knew it was good, but i rahter enjoying this old showing and thinking 'oh the things they could do with this show and todays effects.'

i have zero desire to go to work tomorrow.

i rented fast and the furious. i watched that this morning. perhaps it was just to early in the day for it, but it sucked. i recall lots of stories about it, that it was bad for teens to watch. that it made them want to race cars and all that crap. i say if they are so easily led by movies well, the gene pool needs cleaning. i'd be more worried about the message it was sending to girls. of course it's just another movie that only shows girls in slutfits, lusting after guys who probably treat them like shit (granted the main guy didn't, but the rest, following stereo types, did).

yeah, yeah, yeah, i've been there and done that on that topic. i'm just saying that was more worrisome to me than a few wanna be teenage boys racing. well, until they happen to hit and kill someone other than themselves.

i could go on with what i think kids need, but i'll save whenever/if ever i have kids. it's easy to armchair any topic, it's a lot different when you're in the game. i'm not at all sure i want kids.

i didn't do laundry today, but i didn't.

i decided on a good resolution for myself. it's to seriously put thought into next years resolution.
