"Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny." -- unknown I had this great idea as I fell asleep last night to do an entry about how 'Kraven' came to be. How I got hooked on the net and the various incarnations I've had. I thought it was a kick ass idea. THEN I went to work. After being off for about a week and half, I knew my desk would be a mess. I work for a major distribution company and other sales reps would have to handle my accounts. This entails going through my account folders and sales order histories to find info for and about my customers. It's a given your desk will be a mess. You live with it cause they took care of your people while you were out and kept the ball rolling. I called in a few times while I was out and was told 'there's no issues, everything is going fine.' What a fucking joke that turned out to be. Which brings us to todays word of the week: Bastard Can you use 'Bastard' in a sentence boys and girls? I can, look: 'My co-workers are nothing but bunch of blubbering BASTARDS (capitialized to show the proper inflection of the word and notice the nice use of alliteration). I don't think anything was taken care of. People sent over purchase orders with nice and neat part numbers and shipping instructions. What do I see on the orders? The wrong material going to the wrong address or shipping by the wrong method and at prices they had to pull out of thier asses. Basically any deaf, blind, paraplegic, chimpanzee with two semi-active brain cells can do my job. People call and ask for X you quote them X and ship the X if they decide to buy OR people send in an order for X and you ship them X. It seems several of my 'co-workers' missed this concept during training. I spent most of my day kissing my costumers asses and trying to fix shit and other half browsing on-line gun sites lamenting the waiting period. It's a shame by the time I can buy a gun I won't be pissed enough to use it. I actaully almost got up and walked out, but damnit...it pays good. That's very good thing 'cause fixing the shit from this past week n a half is going to cost me a nice bit of change in freight and reshipping material. I'm to tired to get a really good rant going. Uhm....I had something else to say. Oh oh...Thanks to the first person to sign my guest book =)
