Give the college the boot
October 05, 2008 - 1:40 pm

I realize this morning that with the election a month-ish out, I've seen/heard very few ads. At first I was surprised by this... but then I realized I'm in a state that's solidly behind one candidate. I'm talking 20% or more differential.

This makes me happy. I really don't like political ads. I'm sure I've talked about it before.. but the whole negative thing just irks me. I want to hear what you will do. I want to compare that to what the other says will get done.. and I can draw my own inferences on who's a piece of shit.

One issue I wish someone would address is the whole electoral college crap. I get the original point of it.. but we need to dump that outdated tradition and go with a straight popular vote. After all... is the popular vote more in line with what a Democracy is supposed to be all about?
