A few quick thoughts

1) I'm torn over the whole defeated bill deal. On one hand we need a solution.. and generally speaking, any solution is better than nothing in this situation. However, from the details I've seen... I'm not so sure I liked the terms.

It's the fiscal conservative in me.

2) I'm surprised the bill was defeated. And surprised for two reasons. The first (and one I need to look up) is that I'm pretty darn sure the Dems have the majority... so a simple vote along party lines would have passed this, no?

The second reason is that.. there's no alternative in sight. As was often said in many articles, no one really liked the bill... but it was the only game in town... so folks thought it would pass.

3) The official notice came out today that I'm switching roles. It was quite nice to get all the 'congratz' emails.. and even a couple 'you're crazy' ones.

4) One thing I excel at is putting my foot in my mouth -- at least on some topics. It's really due to how my mind works. I get an idea.. in my head I run with it... and make some joking comment. A person who's a literal person.. doesn't follow my flip line of thought and well... they tend to get annoyed.

3.2) I'm right.. the Dems have 235 out of 435 or like 54%. Seems to me you can't really blame this on the Repubs.. if all the Dems had voted along the party line it would have passed.

5) I'm thinking about getting Loca a crow for xmass. She really, really seems to want one.

6) Uhm... I had a sixth.. but well, I lost it. Oh well. This will do, no?
