Cashflow

So the expert men come tomorrow. The ones who can, in theory, enable the other expert men to remove and install my dishwasher. I've a lingering dream that tomorrow's experts can do both: free the old and install the new, but... no doubt that will get nixed.

In other news, I had a one of those stupid epiphanies (is that really how you spell that!?)... Capital One sent me a flyer to remind me I can pay bills with my credit card.

Initial thought was: Why would I ever want to do that? Why pay bills with credit? I've got enough debit don't I?

But then... I realized, the reason why I don't carry cash and charge pretty much anything I buy is to get miles. With enough miles, I'll fly free some place. No hassles, right?

Well.. isn't bill pay an extension of that? I do automatic bill pay from my checking account now... why not move those payments to my credit card and have the bank send the payment to the credit card? Debit-wise, it's a wash... I just end up driving more of my cashflow through the card, getting more miles. At the end of the month, my debit will be the same.

Right?

What am I missing... something... surely something.
