My holiday booty

I really do think within the next two weeks (since I'm taking next week off), I'll be canned.. my salvation is that other job will officially be posted and I'll slip out sideways to a new, unrelated role.

I tried to play poker a fews to celebrate my week's vacation.. and I've lost, and lost horribly, each time...

I've already received all the expected xmass gifts.. and let me recount the 'booty':

1 Border's gift card.. I think $40, not sure though.. it's not handy to confirm.

Three gifts from the parent:
1 Vidalla Chip Wizard (as seen on TV)

1 Forever Flashlight -- 10 in 1 lantern, no battery needed.. it's got a hand crank so you can power the light, listen to the radio.. and, it seems, 8 other things.

1 handmade table cloth/table cover. I'm not really sure what it's called.. it's crocheted, I believe that's the right term, and is the one gift I actually like. Too bad I can't put it out.. as Loca will make short and nasty work of it. At least, that's my fear. She was all about sniffing it and pawing it when I showed it to her. I think that's largely due to it being soaked in scent of my parent's dog and their constant smoking. Two things Loca's not had much experience with.

I did get two cards at work.. one had a $30 card. I used that up last night at the liquor store, though I'm not sure why. I've no desire to consume any booze.. but I've got some.
