Heh, I said boondoggle
June 28, 2007 - 5:14 pm

I wonder if people get that a lot of my typos (verb tenses especially) are on purpose? Probably not, but I is ok with it.

I know a lot of people like to blame Bush for this, than and the other.. and they like to say he's little more than a trained chimp.

These two thoughts.. amuse me. I don't quibble with the basic idea they express... but if you do think he's a dolt who's a little more than a trained chimp, how can you really and truly hold him accountable?

It's his trainers, his handlers, that are to blame. It's the people behind the scenes. If Bush is a puppet, it's the person pulling the strings or with his/her hand up his ass that's to blame.

Sure, you can say Bush should stand up to them.. Bush should make himself accountable and he's at fault for not doing that - but you've already labeled him as a dolt.

The one who really scares me is Cheney. Especially with this whole the VP Office isn't a part of the executive branch bit. Makes me wonder just what has he been doing that he's making such an argument.

In fact, if you do a little digging on Cheney and some of the things he's been involved in.. well, he's a powerful guy who's trying to say his office isn't bound by checks and balances in the constitution. Perhaps the one mistake the framers made was the last minute compromise addition of the VP office. Sure it solves some issues.. but perhaps it's really a boondoggle.
