Why? Long story into a really short one.. whoever said buying is the best investment didn't quite take into account all the sunk costs that go along with owning. Things renters don't pay for.

But that's a kinda minor thing.. the bigger thing is that my car wouldn't start this afternoon. Semi-happily, I was in a Lowe's parking lot.. so I went back into the store and got a $50 car starter kit. Works very well.. and, I'll have to say for now, worth the money. The darn thing could well be priceless in other situations. I'm debating keeping it.. or taking it back.

Of course, what I really need to do is get a new battery, but the options there are pretty slim late on a Sunday. I guess I'll wait and see if the POS starts tomorrow.. and will decide what to do then.
