"Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny." -- unknown such is the joy of moving. i'm oddly, in a probably very "guy-way" proud to say that every bit of "stuff" in this apartment was lugged up the stairs by me and me alone. this of course relates to why i'm so tired and sore. i don't have tons of stuff, but i have quite a few pretty damn heavy items. i've about decided how i want things.. but it seems to leave an odd pocket of empty space... that sort of bothers me. and i know i'll move everything once i get a couch/love seat. the hitch is really that i'm going with cable internet.. so my pc needs to be sort of close to the outlet or i need to get a long, long bit of coax, which isn't tough to do. speaking of internet and what not.. what's the deal with comcast? the bastards put some kinda "support" program to load up. that's pretty naughty of them. i've disabled it and hopefully it won't mess anything up. also.. my pc is running wicked slow. the internet is fast, just the starting up and doing things in non-browser programs is slow. i can only guess the support thingie was to do with that -- why, i don't know.. but it's the only change. i wonder if comcast is nosey and indexing my system or something? eh, paranoid. i decided to "splurge" and got digital cable. it was only a bit more a month and i've never had it before. i rather like the On Demand stuff.. and can't wait until ALL movies are available like this. screw blockbuster. screw netflix. of course, those two are nice for burning your own copies. something i've not done, but am debating doing. though, if i could get any movie i wanted whenever i wanted it through cable for like 2 bucks, i'd do that. i've already watched a few things.. an old richard pryor standup, some penn and teller bullshit (never saw before) and taxi driver. i've always heard about taxi driver and so, was happy to actaully watch it. to show you how silly i was, i thought that the tv series taxi was a spin off from the movie. hahahahah, boy was i wrong. i suppose it could have contributed to the idea, but they are two totally different ideas. anyway. i woke up today thinking how sore i was... and decided to just lay in bed for a long while. at about 10:30 there's a knock at my door. i recognize the voice as mike, the manager. so i get up and open the door (after putting on some decent cloths first) and he tells me the safety inspector is coming by around 2.. the bastard. i'm now debating how much stuff do i want to have put away by then. of course, the motivation to actaully start finding homes for stuff is good.. but still. today was to be lazy day. things left to buy: things left to decide: things left to do: that's about it.. you didn't say, did you miss me?
