"Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny." -- unknown at first i was furious people would try to forge such documents. equally furious that people would try to prove legit docs fake. my fury lasted a very short time. i realized, it's silly to express outrage about such things. this is the state of elections, of politics, in my country. it matters not who is good for the job, it matters who can cake the most mud on the other. americans, it seems, vote not for what people have done (what's kerry done that's worthy of being president? what's bush done that's worthy of being relected? both suck.) but for.. who does the best job lambasting the other. i know that president isn't the most powerful person in our government, but the presidency is a focal point for so many things. no one has talked about the potential of who wins will be able to appoint two and probably three justices to the surpreme court. i think it's a lock at least one justice will step down and probably two. this is huge. are you for or against things like abortion? mix into say to more liberal justices and abortion stays legal. mix in two conversative justices and it's soon to be illegal. what about marriage rights? liberal justice - and gays will no doubt soon be equal with herto couples. conservative justices and no expansion of marriage rights. in a matter of daily life, the surpreme court matters a great deal. why arn't we hearing about it? i dunno. the whole process is too fucked up. a representative democracy is an awesome thing with the voters are knowledgable.. and a sad farce when they only know what's spoon fed to them. critical thinking.. the skill america needs to rediscover.
