make me smile
September 02, 2004 - 11:52 am

wow. i'm floored by this. excited and floored.

http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=562&u=/ap/20040901/ap_on_hi_te/wireless_cities_7&printer=1

cities are looking at making themselves into wireless networks - as in 135sq miles of philadelhia as a huge ass wireless network. they say the subscription fee would be less than 35 bucks a month. anyone, anywhere.. can be online. the price is coming down.. so it's more affordable for all sorts of folks. fantastic.

one line in the article even says some cities (perhaps it was just one?) want the internet to be a utility like power and water. fan-fucking-tastic.

anyway.

school is.. so far so good. i go to the first meeting of my final class tonight. i'm not sure i'm going to keep all the classes. i really, really wish we didn't have quite so many core classes i had to take - but i do understand that they are giving me a much broader base.

hrm. i guess to be honest, i'm feelin' pretty stressed about my course load.

so.. send me something to make me smile.
