not that i really do any work in my so-called job. today.. i'm going to shred - a lot.

i won third place in a story contest a few days ago. i'm quite happy about that. had to write a story based on the prompt: 30,000 feet.

even better than winning third is that a few new people have browsed my stuff and offered up some good editing ideas.

i have this odd idea to try and create a collection of short stories.. and to get it published.

i can't decide how many pages i need - though, i'm sure any short story i have now is too short.

that goal, however, goes on the back burner. i can write whenever i get the itch. need to focus on school.

need to sort out what classes i'm going to take. need to finalize my resume today. need to identify places to consider sending said resume.

need to decide if i am going to graduate next may or next august - i.e. do i really want to do an internship.

of course, if i don't find a job in may, then i'm going to find an internship.

weird logic huh? if i can't find one.. why do i think i can find the other?

i've no idea. well, yes i do. i'm like 90% sure i can get hooked up with an internship in china.

how's that for silly? i'm positive i can get one in china, but not the states?

need to email the chinese teacher. gonna find out if i can sit in on her class and learn me up some chinese! then i'm going to go sit in the local chinese takeout place and see if they make fun of me or not.

i really, really need to set up my pc to get a paper i wrote off it.. so i can get it on a disk and email it to myself so i can write the paper due at the end of the month.

i now have ten days to have fifteen pages.

happily, i have lots of free time at work!
