just another boring thursday
March 06, 2003 - 6:04 pm

work took what's going to be a nasty turn today. my program has 'volunteered' to take on two new projects - neither of which i'm happy about. i don't really have any sort of footing to complain since they are both 'natural' extensions of what i do now. if i were a 3rd party obsever i'd be saying 'yes.. this makes sense.'

however, i'm not 3rd party, but 1st party.

seeing as my current work keeps me busy for oh.. about an hour each day, i really can't offer up any sort of reasonable idea why i don't like it. heck, i've even said it makes sense - i just don't want to be the one doing it.

work has me feeling like a lemming.

i'm now waiting for a proof-reading review of my essay.. (which i should get back tonight) and then i'm one email away from be fully applied.

at work (did i mention i have lots of free time at work?) i took a test that tells you where the best place to live in the states is for you. the best city actaully. i think it was called www.findmyspot.com - at first i thought it was some porn site and was leery about going there.

anyway, the school i'm hoping to get into (well not so much hoping as betting everything on) is in the number five city from the quiz i took.

that made me smile. i almost pointed it out to my officemate. that woulda been a fax pass (yes, yes it's faux pas i know. i just say fax pass).

see it's become apperant to me that staying at my current job (and it is a job, not a career) isn't going to be viable.

hrm.. oh heh. i trying something new. i realized that i don't really eat breakfast or lunch..but i eat a 'big' dinner. this is backwards. i don't do much in the evening yet all my food intake is then. so, starting today, i'm eating a big ass breakfast and little for lunch or dinner. atleast, that's the plan. i realize that my body is currently trained to get lots of food a night.. so i need to fix that.

other than that... it was just another boring thursday.
