rambling and probably wrong
2001-11-17 - 10:44 a.m.

you know what i want, what i think. what happens is up to you...

on another note, i was watching mtv for a bit tonight and something occured to me. it's not the first time i've had this thought, i decided to write it down tonight.

i think the first time this struck me was when i was driving though the city several months ago. i saw an indian woman walking with her husband. she was wearing the traditional dress. i dunno the name, but it's rather like a robe, you know what i mean i'm sure. the thought dawned on me that most eastern religions, well..not just eastern, say that women should dress moderatly. they say alot of other things, but women should not wear revealing clothings. watching mtv i realized that about 95% of the females on the channel are there cause they are wearing next to nothing and look 'good'. is britany spears popular cause she can sing or cause guys want to screw her and girls want to look like her so they can get guys to drool over them? id rather be a singer who was known for singing rather than a singer who was know to have people flood the internet looking for naked pics of me...

maybe it's just me, i dunno. this goes back to the english girl whose parents bought her breast implants for her birthday. women want to be treated equally and yet seem to go the extra mile to feel and look sexy. hrm, that sounds wrong, its not exactly what i mean. there's nothing wrong with looking sexy...but, to keep with my music thead, you cant go out on stage in a bikini (let's face it thats basically what some wear) and expect to be taken as a good singer. you're eye candy. you're nice to look at. no one really cares what you sing.

i guess this all goes back to people not saying what they mean and not meaning what they say. you can extrapolate that out or atleast i can.

i wonder how many people actaully follow my tenious thread of 'logic', my kravenistic way of thinking.

like i said before, (i've said that alot tonight huh? well not here, but there) i know what i want...do you? you sounded like you honestly wanted to try again...help me understand why you do...and who knows...
